faith formation in supportive small groups

Confirmation

Well Rounded Faith Development

Confirmation runs from grades 6 – 8, and ends with the Rite of Confirmation in the fall of grade 9. In our program, young people form supportive small groups, review the core teachings of the Christian faith, serve others, and develop faith practices. Faith formation also happens during summer opportunities like Bible camp, service trips, and mission trips. There are also retreats, fellowship events (like Moonlight Madness), and serving opportunities like volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.

We want confirmation to be a well-rounded faith development experience, so we have worked with the parents and the pastors to develop a set of confirmation recommendations. As students complete the confirmation process, we ask that they prepare a project, which may be an essay, a video or a powerpoint to describe their learnings and faith development.
